Car-Chem Super Suds Shampoo is our luxurious, high concentration car shampoo.
A must-have for any detailer; professional and beginner alike. Not only is it highly concentrated at a dilution ratio of 1900:1 (you’ll only need 12ml to clean an average-sized car); but it is also high foaming and highly lubricating to prevent scratching your vehicles paintwork.
Specially formulated from our award-winning shampoo. We have put this product through vigorous testing to ensure it is fully compatible with all types of waxes, sealants and ceramic coatings so that you do not need to worry about last stage protection deterioration.
The best way to use your Super Suds Car Shampoo is to add two caps to an empty wash bucket (roughly four-five pumps of the supplied bottle pump). Using your pressure washer or hose gun, spray the foam in your bucket to foam your Super Suds and fill your bucket with water.
We recommend starting the washing process by giving your car a pre-wash! Our Pre-Wash Snow foam is excellent for this as it removes loose dirt sitting on the paint. Once you have applied a pre-wash and rinsed away any remaining surface dirt its time to properly wash your car with your wash mitt. Leave your car wet!
Once your wash bucket and rinse bucket are full you can then apply to your car.
(TOP TIP: Make sure you are washing your car in the shade on a cool, dry day! This allows for better dwell time for the products and ensures nothing dries too soon for you!)
Take your wash mitt and soak it in your super suds, grab some of the suds for extra measure and start washing your car from top to bottom, ensure you are washing with a two bucket system (your rinse bucket should have a grit guard) so you can scrub any dirt off your wash mitt that has transferred from the car. This will reduce the chance of marring or swirl marks appearing.
Once you have completely washed your car and it is still sitting pretty and covered in suds its time to rinse off! Using your pressure washer spray the vehicle top to bottom to remove all the remaining suds. Once you have fully rinsed off your vehicle, use a drying towel or air blower to dry the car (from top to bottom again!) and leave it looking fresh once more!

I tried Lockdown on my car for the first time this weekend and was very impressed with the results. Another great product from Car-Chem!
However, I would take issue with Car-Chem’s claims that Lockdown gives up to 12 months protection. I would not expect a product of this type to last that long and would be happy with good protection between maintenance washes. Car-Chem should update their product description for Lockdown and give a more realistic time for the duration of the protection.
I have heard mixed feelings about this product on the Car-Chem discussion groups but personally, I like it. The issue raised seems to be around its difficulty of application. I have applied it to my already polished and ceramic sealed glass and also to my neighbour’s grotty BMW as a test subject and have had no problems. My suggestion is to polish and then clean the glass to get the best possible foundation before applying it out of the sun. You want to have time to buff before it evaporates. Like most other Car-Chem products it seems to be water-based as it doesn’t give off the solvent fumes like its competitors. I’m not sure what Car-Chem suggests but I like to apply perhaps once every couple of months. As expected, once applied, the rain instantly beads and zips off.
I would like to see a smaller bottle offered. Because it needs applying so infrequently I think a 250ml spray bottle would be perfect and allow people to add it to their basket without such a hike in total basket cost. Just a thought.
